MOPS Cookbook

Our next meeting will be about cooking.  Some moms love it and some moms hate it.  But, we can all appreciate a good source of tested and approved recipes.  But, we need your help.  We need you to submit your favorite recipes.  It is so easy to do too!  Just fill in the form below, click submit and you are done.  How easy is that?  You will get 5 points for each recipe you submit.  So, if your table is lagging behind in the points department, here is an easy way to catch up.  And each time you enter a recipe you will be entered to win a free meal that will be given out at our April 25th meeting.  How awesome is that?  You won't have to cook that night!  We need your recipes by April 11th so that Maureen has a chance to put the cookbook together.  She's awesome you know.  But, she can't put it all together over night.  (Actually, she probably could.  And she would probably have time to sew an adorable cookbook cover for her cookbook as well.)  But, we aren't going to do that to her.  So, on your mark... get set...  start submitting!!!

March Play Date #2 - St. Patty's Day Scavenger Hunt at Brookside Gardens

Each year Brookside Gardens hosts the St. Patrick's Day Green & Growing Scavenger Hunt for young children (ages 2-6). Have some St. Patrick’s Day fun following the giant green leprechaun footsteps through the garden. He’s left some clues to help you through - to find where he’s going is all up to you! Along the way if it’s a nice day, leprechaun helpers will trick you into some healthy activities, all good fun in the sun, of course! This year's walk will take place on Friday, March 16th at 10:30am. All MOPS Moms and their kids are invited to attend. The event includes a walk/scavenger hunt, a craft, and a snack. Come enjoy the fun! For more information about Brookside Gardens, click here.

Date: Friday, March 16th
Time: We'll meet at 10:15AM inside the Visitors Center, and start our walk, guided by Brookside Gardens staff at 10:30AM.  Place: Brookside Gardens (1800 Glenallen Avenue, Wheaton, MD)
Costs: $5.00/child ages 2-6 (no charge for infants, adults or children older than 6)
Special Note: Older and younger kids are welcome to attend and walk with us, they just won't be eligible for the provided snack (you can bring your own snack from home) or craft.  If you have kids that aren't yet two or older than six, come and join us for the morning free of charge (no need to register, just show up).
